About the Opportunity
We're recruiting on behalf of an established independent insurance agency in Madeira Beach, FL that has served Gulf Coast families for over 30 years. This is a direct-hire, full-time role on a small, supportive team.
The Role
You'll own a book of personal lines accounts — managing renewals, servicing existing clients, and growing the book through cross-selling. This is a client-facing role for someone who enjoys both relationship management and spotting coverage gaps.
What You'll Do
Account Management — Own and manage a book of personal lines accounts; handle renewals and remarketing; keep clients informed on Florida homeowners, flood, and related coverage.
Servicing — Process endorsements, policy changes, cancellations, and reinstatements; answer billing and coverage questions; issue ID cards, certificates, and evidence of insurance; follow up on claims; document activity in the agency management system.
Cross-Selling — Review monoline clients for additional coverage needs; proactively reach out about auto, home, umbrella, flood, and recreational ("toys") policies; quote and bind new business (cross-sell bonus paid per new monoline policy).
What We're Looking For
- Active Florida 2-20, 4-40, or 20-44 insurance license (or the ability to obtain one — licensing/CE covered)
- 1-2+ years of personal lines experience in an agency setting
- Working knowledge of homeowners, auto, flood, and umbrella coverage
- Comfort with comparative raters and an agency management system (e.g., Applied Epic, EZLynx, HawkSoft)
- Genuine comfort with cross-selling and outbound client outreach
- Strong organization and a friendly, professional manner on the phone and in person
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary (based on experience) + cross-sell commission + bonus (bonus per new monoline policy)
